Xcede Chef Engineer Location: Fully Remote – UK (O/IR35)/EU (B2B) Contract Length: Initial contract through to end of year
Overview We are working with a leading European financial services organisation undergoing a large-scale digital transformation, alongside a significant programme of security remediation and infrastructure hardening.
They are looking for an experienced Chef Engineer to support a cloud hardening initiative, focused on automating and standardising secure configurations across enterprise environments. Overtime is also available if interested.
Required Skills & Experience Experience using Chef and its tools to manage and automate system configurations Good understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred) Experience working with Windows Server environments Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Awareness of security standards and best practices (eg CIS benchmarks)
Desirable Experience working within regulated environments (eg financial services) Exposure to large-scale transformation or cloud migration programmes
