Salary:£36,446 with the potential to rise to £40,495 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Programmer Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer Analyst to join our technology and data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that support supply chain operations, improve system performance, and enable smarter insights through data. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts and developers to translate requirements into scalable, reliable systems that enhance service deliver

Every day you will

• Support and maintaindata architecturefor commercial allowing for consistent reporting across all directorates
• Support the data collectionprocess fromawide range of sourcestoanalyse key themesandidentifypossible impactson the business.
• Document complex “as is” and “to be” processes and describethechangesrequiredto migrate tothe “to be” capability to record accuratelythe changerequired.
• Support the team to helpwith the alignment of businessdata, leverageexpertise in data science and analytics toenhance insightcapability,application and solution buildering forthe businesswide efficiencies.
• Support with insight creationand solutions building for commercial teams.
• Responsible for interpretation, analysisandpresentation of data usingavariety of toolsincluding:Excel, Access,SQL, Alteryx, Power BI,Cognos, Python, Power Apps, Power Automate.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

• Ability to analyse, interpret, and present complex data using a range of tools including Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, Alteryx, Cognos, Power Apps, and Power Automate to create meaningful insights and solutions.
• Strong understanding of commercial needs, with experience supporting business solutions that deliver return on investment and improve efficiency across the organisation.
• Experience supporting and maintaining data architecture, integrating data from multiple sources to ensure consistent and reliable reporting across directorates.
• Capability to document complex “as is” and “to be” processes, clearly identifying required changes and supporting the transition to improved future state capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strategic and innovative mindset and a proven ability to deliver projects and support solution implementation.
