Company Accountant – Leeds

Campbell Grove Talent are working exclusively with a Leeds based SME who are looking to recruit a Company Accountant into their Head Office team.

If you’re an accountant who likes being close to the numbers, the people and the business, this could be a great opportunity.

Partnering with the Finance Manager you’ll be involved in the day-to-day accounting and play an important part in help develop the finance function.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing variance analysis
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Supporting the year-end accounts process
• Managing the ledgers
• Reviewing financial information and helping ensure the numbers are accurate
• Providing support with ad-hoc analysis and reporting
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Working closely with the auditors
• Developing and looking at ways to improve financial controls and processes
• Ad hoc project work

What they’re looking for:

• Someone who is hands-on, commercially minded and happy getting stuck in.
• Ideally you will be PQ/ QBE looking for a broader SME role.
• You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership, working independently and getting involved across the finance function.

And importantly, someone who wants to be part of the business rather than just produce the numbers.
