Production Manager – Food Production

Location: Ledbury

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Day shifts

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business during an exciting period of expansion. This role offers the chance to lead high-performing yeams, shape production processes and make a real impact within a fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee production activities to achieve targets across output, quality and cost
• Ensure a robust food safety and compliance culture
• Manage and develop production teams, providing coaching, feedback and ongoing support
• Work closely with Operations Manager to maintain smooth coordination between departments
• Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives, reducing waste and enhancing efficiency
• Use KPIs such as OEE, yield, and downtime to identify improvement opportunities
• Maintain accurate production data and prepare reports for senior leadership

About you:

• Experience as a Production Manager or senior production leader in food manufacturing
• Solid working knowledge of HACCP, BRC and food safety regulations
• Strong communication, leadership and team development skills
• Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
• A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of delivering results
• Comfortable working with data, KPIs and ERP / production systems
